In Poznan, Poland w. The Chicago Jazz Philharmonic At the Hyde Park Jazz Fest
"I've watched Ernie swing hard with Stanley Turrentine and Kenny Drew Jr., among others. I drum teched while he burned some fusion with Al DiMeola and Anthony Jackson. I've witnessed the dance floor at the club stay packed as Ernie laid down seriously funky, solid, pocket while grooving hip hop, rap and ol' skool R&B with DJ Shon Dervis as Furious Styles. I've heard him show complete understanding of clave with Paquito D'Rivera, Arturo Sandoval and The Chicago Afro Latin Jazz Ensemble. I've been with him in the studio as he covered the click track on pop, rock and radio/TV/movie score music. Now, add to all of this his professionalism, focus, hard work and great attitude and Ernie Adams is truly a professional's professional drummer!!" *
*Quote from Brian Kornfeld - World-Class Drummer and Drum Tech who has worked with Keith Carlock, Dennis Chambers, Anton Fig, Simon Phillips, Steve Smith, Dave Weckl, among others. Brian's first drum teching job was with me on The Al DiMeola Electric Band World Tour in 1998.
Right: This pic is from when Brian and I first met when I was playing a week long jazz cruise with Stanley Turrentine as special guests. We later went on to star on TV as the new Crockett and Tubbs. :-D
Welcome to my website. Beyond a self-promotional tool, it was created as a way of showing and connecting the different music circles that I work in that rarely cross paths. I've been blessed to work all over the world with legendary, Grammy Award winning artists from the jazz world, the pop world, fusion world, Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music worlds and beyond. This collection is not a complete list of my work. This website is basically a means of developing work. It will continue to develop over time. Thank you for visiting and please drop me a note at the end in the 'Contact' tab to say hello and/or to give any suggestions on making this a better website.
I want to send a special thank you to all of the generous, artistic people who have taken the many exquisite pics, videos and drawings that are laden throughout this website. I sincerely appreciate your "jazz eye" when it comes to capturing music visually.
